Sight Seeing
Familiar landmarks that are only a stones throw away, some of which you
can see from the roof tops of The New England Hotel - that's how central
we are! A great way to see the city is via the plentiful
London
Tours on offer.
Personal
guide tours are also available.
St Paul's Cathedral
A wren masterpiece - which took 42 years to complete. There have been
five churches dedicated to St Paul on this site, the previous one having
been destroyed in the Great Fire in 1666. The 365ft-high dome that crowns
St Pauls is the second largest in the world, second to only St Peter's
in Rome. Wren is buried in the Cathedral, and an inscription above reads
' If you seek his monument, look around'.
Big Ben Clock & Houses of Parliament:
This
is the Government office. The Stranger's Gallery is open whilst the House
sits at certain periods of the day. Tours of the Houses of Parliament
are also available.
